Welcome to Wizzie’s

“Laughter is the best medicine, but in certain situations the Heimlich manoeuvre may be more appropriate”. -- Chuck Smith

Music is in my blood because my grandma and her father both taught the piano most of their lives. I started playing the piano when I was 6, later took up the flute and singing and was still playing the flute when I was studying for a classical music degree at university….

Ok enough of that! True it maybe but I’m a little rock chick at heart! I’ve failed abysmally at learning to play the guitar but I’ve loved going to gigs for as long as I’ve been allowed to (I spent a lot of my younger teenage years begging and bargaining with my parents!) Ok technically my first gig was Take That but the less said about that the better. To be honest I listen to anything and everything but I’m yet to find better stress relief than head banging away to System of a Down playing at full volume.

My superbly eccentric, bubbly and loveable friend Sara has played bass with The Itchy Tits All Girl Punk Show www.itchytits.co.uk (hah, bet that got your attention!) for the last few years and its probably fair to say that at least for their first few gigs I was one of their biggest groupies. The line up’s changed a few times now but I can honestly say they are a talented (and quirky) group of gals.

Another musical shout out has to go to Jakey because he simply works so hard at everything, his music included. His old band Ambervoid have recently got back together but he also now drums with another band, Dancing With Henry www.dancingwithhenry.co.uk. I haven’t been to see them yet but I have it on good authority they’re pretty good.
